Drainline Southern Limited is a very well-known and widely respected specialist drainage company within the industry.

We have a large portfolio of commercial and industrial clients including other drainage contractors who use our wealth of experience in re-lining many types of pipework to service the needs of their own clients quickly and efficiently.

In response to the ever growing demand for our services as a re-lining specialist to other contractors we have launched our Re-Lining Section exclusively for other drainage/civils and groundworks contractors.

Drainline install liners from 75mm diameter through to 2000mm diameter and can provide any type of liner from Polyester to UV, we also supply and install localised structural Silicate patch repair liners, diameters from 75mm through to 2000mm.

With our own in house support such as CCTV rigs, lateral cutters, Pitch Fibre re-rounding apparatus and combination tankers the jobs can be completed with the minimum of fuss and importantly for the client without having to employ other sub-contractors to provide associated services which can also prove to be very costly and a logistical problem for the contractor.

The re-lining section operates in plain non signwritten vans and operatives wear plain dark blue uniforms and PPE without identifying logo's, if provided we can wear you own company logo or uniform.

Drainline are able to use their buying power to negotiate discounts on the supply of lining materials and therefore can pass on these discounts onto its clients as well as having the experience to ensure each job is carried out quickly and efficiently so time on site is minimal.

CCTV Drainage Services

Drainline offers specialised CCTV drain inspection systems for use in pipe diameters from 50mm up to 2 metres. The CCTV systems are suitable for use in drains, sewers and many more applications including confined spaces and unsafe structures.

We can deal with large pipework diameters from 150mm through to 2 metres, which can be surveyed using our main line CCTV equipment. Although normally mounted on our vans, Drainline also has portable main line equipment that can be used when vehicle access is limited.

For smaller diameter pipework over standard distances, we use colour pipe TV Inspection systems for surveying pipe diameters from 50mm through to 225mm. This system has features like on-screen text and auto on-screen meterage readout.

Lines of up to 350 metres in length can be surveyed from a single entry point using this equipment. WRC validated reports are provided and available in different formats and all our skilled operators
are trained in sewer defect classification, confined space entry and new roads and streetworks.

Drainline use Scanprobe and Pierpoint cameras, both market leaders. From push rod cameras to mainline crawlers, we can cope with most CCTV survey demands.

If you have a site with unknown drainage a main line unit is equipped to survey almost any diameter pipe that may be encountered. A main line unit also has the capability of e-mailing
information directly to the customer from site as required.

Septic Tank Emptying and Cleaning

We have a range of bulk waste removal vehicles sized to suit all requirements from private houses to large industrial premises and are able to offer a same/next day service. The term "septic" relates to the anaerobic bacterial system that develops within the tank and causes the waste that is discharged into the tank to decompose or mineralise. Regular, preventive maintenance is required to remove the irreducible solids which settle at the bottom of the septic tank, reducing its capacity and efficiency. It is important to have the tank emptied regularly to avoid the possibility of solids escaping the tank and destroying the clarified liquid effluent. Pitch-Fibre Re-Rounding and Structural Lining System

Pitch-fibre drainage systems have been haunting the professional specifier and the public for many years.

Previously the only option available for remedial action was open excavation, both costly and time consuming. However, recent advancements now mean that deformed or de-laminated pitched fibre
can be repaired in-situ, thus making significant savings in time and therefore cost. The diagram below shows how partially collapsed pitch fibre pipes can be re-rounded without resorting to excavation.

High pressure water jetting

Drainline use high pressure jetting equipment which ranges in power from 2,000 pis to 10,000 psi.
We have van, trailer and lorry mounted units which can meet any requirements including problematic access to site.

If the pipework cannot be cleared due to structural failure of the pipework etc, Drainline have at our disposal JetVac vehicles to empty the system preventing flooding until the defective pipework is returned to service.

Air and water testing

After installation or repair of any drain or pipeline system it should be tested for leaks. New and existing drainage can be fully tested to
current standards by either air, water or a combination of both.

Air test to 100mm water gauge pressure (10 mb) on any size of drain

Radio drain tracing

One of the main issues is locating the drain and where it's situated beneath the ground.

By using a multiple frequency digital locator (comprising of a transmitter and receiver), we can detect and trace a drain with precision and accuracy. It also allows us to define complex locating issues in confused situations and give us accurate depth readings.

The SONDE can also be used in tandem with a video camera to enable visual inspection for finding bends, connections or defects within the drain system. It can easily separate pipes and cables in close proximity to the area allowing us to pinpoint the fault.

Gully cleaning

Drainline have specialist gully cleaning and medium combination vehicles at their disposal ideally
suited to all gully cleaning work and pipework cleaning/clearing.

For tight access situations we have a smaller, (7.5 ton), Jetvac tanker that only compromises in
size and not in power/capability this gives the most efficient solution to poor access situations.

Work can be undertaken on an ad-hoc contract or tender basis as required.
